Is this weird?

I had my 8 week ultrasound yesterday at a Radiologist office since my OB is limiting actual office visits. We went in and the tech did the Abdominal ultrasound. There were several TVs in the room (I assume for me and hubby to be able to see) but they were both kept off the entire time. She then told me I could go pee and then she would do the transvaginal. So she did the transvaginal ultrasound which was uncomfortable but not unbearable. Other than giving directions, the tech didnt say anything to us, not one word. When we were leaving I asked "Is there anything you can tell us?" She said no but handed us 2 pictures and said I'd hear from my doctor in a few days (haven't heard anything yet). Based on my research, I understand that techs cant usually tell you much if anything. But what I don't understand is, if there was a heartbeat, why weren't we allowed to see and or hear it? Why were the screens kept off? With my first, the screen was on so I could see the ultrasound being done. Our ultrasound looks normal to me but I'm nervous because we didnt hear a heartbeat. And kinda pissed they could just let someone leave thinking something is wrong when there may not be anything wrong.
