False positive for genetics testing?

I had my genetics testing on Monday and the ultrasound looked great they said, nothing to worry about, but I also took a blood test to rule out Down syndrome and other chromosome abnormalities. Dr said I’ll get a letter if everything is good, and a phone call if something comes up. Sure enough I got the call yesterday saying there’s a 1-6,000 percent chance my baby has Down syndrome which is a 6% chance I guess. I was heartbroken and I still am, I can’t stop crying, I can’t raise a special needs child, I don’t want to and I don’t have it In me. I have to go back today for another test to better determine. Has anyone ever gotten a false positive test result? I’ve heard of it happening a lot
