Near heart attack
Between my baby and my husband I'm going to go grey so quick. Last night around 0400 my husband came running upstairs basically in tears with a screaming baby. He went to burp her and her arm got twisted in her burp cloth and husband heard a pop. As soon as I took her she stopped crying. I moved her arm around to see where it hurt, but she fell asleep. Her arm had 0 resistance and was completely limp. I probably checked her arm and shoulder for a foot 45 minutes, she just slept. We went back to bed. 4 hrs later my husband got up with her again to feed her. Brought her downstairs, where my mom was on the couch to give her a bottle. My mom took her hand to give it a little wiggle to say good morning, and baby started to scream again. After being checked over again my mom thought her shoulder might be dislocated. Husband got me up and we were off to the hospital. It took around 10 minutes of arriving to be seen by 4 nurses and 2 doctors (mostly there to see the baby and fawn over her). She didnt make a peep while the doctor moved and felt her arm and shoulder. She was cooing and smiling. Doctor ordered some xrays and before the he even finished typing up the orders we were in for xrays. I waited 15 minutes for the results and we got sent back for more xrays, to check her wrist instead of her shoulder. Results came back 100% normal. Doctor suspects it's just a pulled muscle, and to keep an eye on it for a few days. It took me all day to get it into my husband's head that accidents happen with babies.
