( long post but advice is needed ) :(

okay so I’ve known and grown up with this guy named R since I’ve been a child and I’m now 19 and him 20 and around 2 months ago he helped me get out of a bad situation with a guy and we started talking more and we started to like each other.. well around a month ago on a drunken night we had sex. nothing changed besides the fact we had sex. like it wasn’t awkward or anything of that sort.. Well he told my brother he liked me and wanted to be with me but didn’t want to loss his job bc he works at the family business and he assured him he wouldn’t but he should talk to my dad if he’s worried well we was all at the job and my brother said something about it and R said he would talk about later. well yesterday we had a get together at my dads and we was drinking and I got very drunk very fast and I blacked out and I he told me he just doesn’t want to be with me right now bc he doesn’t have the money to take care of me but then he went and sat down with my dad and had my dad assure him that he wouldn’t get fired and I was upset and he just kept saying that I know he cares about me and this stuff.. and we was kissing and he told me he loves me but he was drunk so I’m not sure how to take that.. but he keeps telling me he wants to be with me and then he suddenly has an excuse.. I’ve done decided I’m not going to have sex with him for 2-4 weeks too see if anything changed if you guys could please give me your input it would be so helpful.
