Trying for a second child!

I keep going back and forth my son is 13months old when we should try for another one? I want them close in age. My husband and I both want a little girl! Obviously we would be fine with either gender because a baby is a blessing no matter what! But my husband wants a little girl so we can be 2 and done but I’m not sure how I feel about 2 and done that just seems so sad to think about! But anyways what’s a good age gap between kiddos? Also is it a myth or the truth that certain times or things determine the gender I don’t think that’s true but wanted to hear yalls opinions?
