How long should I take a break from social media?

This is such a dumb question but my social media addiction is out of control. I literally wake up and think about what I’m going to post. I want to break this habit and take a break, find something more productive to do. How long should I social distance from social media lol? I know I’m pathetic 🙃

I was addicted to Instagram. I never posted but would lurk regularly. 
I deactivated my account for like 4 days. When I reactivated it, I really didn't feel like using Instagram anymore. It felt pointless. 
It depends. Deactivate it for a whole and stay a few days without using it at all. When you come back you see if you're still willing to use as much as before. If yes, deactivate again.

Well, to make/stop a habit it usually takes 21 days as they say. So I guess if you’re really willing to do it, then try it for 3 weeks. This way you can minimize this addiction.

I deleted my fb sept 2019 downloaded all my pics to my phone before I deleted. Fb is full of drama and nonsense it got boring. I have Snapchat, Pinterest and glow. I have Instagram but I hvnt been on it in almost a year don’t care for it. It’s really healthy to stay off social media sometimes let’s you Actually see the world and be productive 😝

Forever. Deleted Facebook in 2010 and haven’t had any social media like that since. Only glow snap and Pinterest

I deleted mine last february and only got instagram back this february, so was off for a whole year. I still don’t have snapchat or facebook but i just look at my partners facebook to see what my family is up too
