A beast killed my dog...

A pitbull came into my yard and attacked/killed my chewinnie....the sight of it was gruesome...

Edit to add: sorry watching my dog’s face get peeled off from her skull after jumping MY FENCE makes me not able to see the neighbors dog as much else but a beast. Also for someone who asked me about why I didn’t step in, I was holding my toddler, as hard as it was for me I made the choice to get him into the house before that thing decided to turn on us as well.

Edit to add: okay I do apologize for mentioning the breed, but if it was a lab or a German Shepard or a hound and I mentioned the breed would y’all really be reacting the same? I’m traumatized, MY TODDLER IS TRAUMATIZED, and our beloved pet is now in a urn when she had so much life to live. To me right now that dog and it’s owner are beast; they’re beast for taking away my child’s sense of safety for his own home, they’re beast for cutting my dog’s life short, they’re beast for making me weary of my own back yard. I don’t care what dog would’ve done this, I couldn’t see them as anything else, do I think all pitbulls are bad, no. Do I think this one was, yes. I’m sorry that upsets y’all but I guess until y’all have to put y’all mauled pet in an urn and be up all night with a traumatized toddler or having a child that barely wants to leave the house anymore you’ll never understand how I feel

Edit to add: I reported the neighbor for improper restraint of his animal and for the damages done. When the police and animal control got to the neighbors house there was no dog so now he’s under investigation from my understanding.

Edit to add: they found the dog at his girlfriend’s house where, get this, it attacked and killed her 2 medium size dogs (I believe she had a boxer and poodle). So the neighbors is being fined and the dog is being taken for evaluation on its aggression. Even if the dog checks out thankfully this bastard won’t get it back, I’m just hoping where ever the dog goes it’s somewhere that’ll benefit it
