Why is my period late?

Hi gals, 
According to eve my period is 5 days late. I took a test and it came up very negative (not the slightest second line). I’ve recently dropped my daily calories to lose a little bit of weight and was wondering if that could be the reason my period is late? I’m now stressing about it which wouldn’t be helping but my periods have usually been regular and Idk why it’s late 🧐

It could be the weight loss, my friends cycle has changed due to weight loss so it could be that! Also stressing can lead to your period taking longer to get here, I stress sometimes and it makes it come even later so try to relax. We’re also under quarantine so I’m sure our bodies are reacting to this situation in crazy ways! Keep yourself safe and healthy. However do consult a doctor over the phone if it doesn’t come soon :)
