How to increase milk supply?

I’m due with my second baby in September and I’m already starting to look into how I could possibly increase my milk supply because my milk supply with my first kit wasn’t that great so I was wondering if anyone out here had some really good experiences with certain things that they tried and would like to share their stories so maybe I could try it and see if it works for me when baby does come ￼

Breastfeeding is all supply and demand. The more you express the more you make. 
All other suggestions are just that. Suggestions. That aren’t medically proven to work. 
When baby is born, just put baby to breast as much as baby will let you. Whether that’s every hr, 30min, or 2hrs. 
Supply and demand. 
And DONT pump within the first 6wks. Supply is not regulated and you can easily create over supply which causes a lot of problems and you don’t want that. (I have it and it sucks).

Try hand expressing colostrum when you reach 38 wks
To help bring milk in during early days nurse, nurse, nurse. At least 8 times in 24 hours. 
Drink lots of water
You need more calories when breastfeeding than you do when pregnant, so make sure you’re eating enough
Gatorade, oatmeal, brewer’s yeast and lactation teas can help. Some swear by Starbucks Pink Drink
With my first I had to do triple feeds - nurse, pump, syringe feed her what I pumped. Had to do this for the first 7-10 days until she was gaining good weight. 
Remember that they might fuss and cry at the breast and they might want to eat seemingly constantly, but this doesn’t mean they are not getting enough or that you are starving them. They’re just trying to ramp up your supply, so let them nurse nurse nurse. They go thru growth spurts at 1,2, 4, 8 and 12 weeks so they might increase nursing frequency at those times for a couple of days. 
If you are working and planning to return to work after baby is born, make sure you talk to them about your need to pump when you go back to work - if you are in the US it is your legal right to pump (though they don’t have to pay you for this time). I had 30 min breaks at 9 and 3 and would pump at lunch as well (my schedule is 8:30-4:30). If you have a long commute then get a car adapter and pump in the car on your way to/ from work (takes a little practice, but with a hands-free pumping bra it can be done). Aim to pump each time baby would take a bottle. 
Make sure that whomever is watching baby doesn’t over feed them so that your supply keeps up. This is a common reason that moms feel they don’t make enough - baby only needs 1-1.5 oz per each hour you are apart (so for an 8 hour work day they would only need 8-12oz total). No matter their age. Only supply a newborn (size 0 nipple). Have this conversation with baby’s caregiver before baby is even born and ask them to watch YouTube videos on paces bottle feeding).
