Was your dr right?!?!

So I am high risk so I had another ultrasound today and then I got the bloodwork testing done. I’m 10w5d. My dr asked me if I wanted to know the gender and I was like you can tell already? And he said he could guess. I’m wondering how accurate he could be? Did anyone have their dr do this and were they correct?! Trying not to get overly excited but do pray he is right! TIA!!

Bloodwork at 10 weeks is extremely accurate, ultrasound not so much

I wouldn’t trust an ultrasound that early... strange that he’s even offering if he’s not very very sure. Through bloodwork you can tell very early now.

At 12 weeks we saw on ultrasound and 13 weeks confirmed via blood test

If through blood work, is very accurate unless you have a vanish twin .. not identical twin.

There’s nothing to really see at 10 weeks. My doctor tried at 12 weeks and still couldn’t see anything accurate. You can have bloodwork done to find out the gender, though.

Mine said she was pretty sure it was a boy at 14 weeks and confirmed it at 22.
