Car seat.

Question

So I’m looking for a car seat in the next size up. My babe is 6 months and we will need to move up in another 3-6 months and just curious what you all use. My hubby doesn’t like the idea of the ones that grow with you cause he doesn’t feel they are as safe with all the moving parts

I’m not sure what you mean by “moving parts” but all car seats that are on the market are crash tested and deemed safe. We have this one. My daughter is 5 months old and has used it for a couple months now.

I’ve had this for my 2 month old since birth! I loveeeee it! She’s soooo comfortable and has never had an issue in the car. And I love how I’ll never have to buy a new one! Plus the dxl has the best safety stats.

We prefer the extend to fit since we have a taller baby and wanted to keep him rear facing for as long as possible. The only thing that moves is the button to move the straps up or down not sure what you mean by moving parts but I feel like most convertible car seats don’t really have any😂 plus all car seats are crashed tested and have specific safety standards so just do some research and find the best fit for y’all

I use a Doona for my kids until they're a year old and then Graco 4Ever from then on. Graco 4Ever, specifically the DLX, have very good crash test ratings.  You're probably better off going off crash test ratings than your husband's feeling. Not sure what he even means by moving parts. Infant carseats that snap into a base have more "moving parts" than a convertible carseat.

We have this. We’ve been using it since about 10 months because he absolutely hated the infant carrier. This is for 5-110lb. It is by far the easier car seat I’ve ever installed and I’ve installed a lot of car seats. I’ve never had any concerns about it not getting tight enough or anything like I have with other seats. I’ve used in more than one vehicle and it locks in the same in each one of them unlike other seats that don’t work in some vehicles.

We love clek! Super easy to install, great safety features, greenguard certified fabrics. Everyone I know who uses the nuna rava is very happy with that, and britax is another solid option.
I personally don’t like graco products, but I know some people do.
“Moving parts” isn’t really a thing. All seats meet are crash tested and meet a minimum safety standard. Perhaps a bit more basic research before you make a decision is warranted.
