Is isolation killing your sex life?

We have all the time in the world to be having sex and we are just sooooo blah that the mood is just not there. Not only about sex and not only about each other, but just about life in general.

What? You mean the global pandemic that is killing people hasn’t put you in an amorous mood?
But seriously, it’s not specifically the isolation. Whether you consciously recognize it or not, life right now is full of stress that your body is processing. 
Stress doesn’t often make a person feel sexy.

In the beginning it was. My fiancé was irritable and going stir crazy and it was a complete turnoff. I still work part of the week in the office, whereas he was completely working from home.  The days I was working from home he’d just pick fights so I’d spend most the day avoiding him so I could work in peace. Didn’t exactly make me want to have sex with him. After a few weeks I think he realized what a jerk he was being and things got a better, he helped out a bit more and was a lot nicer, so now we’ve been having sex more regularly if not a bit more than usual. The first few weeks were not fun though.

I mean we don’t live together, so we haven’t seen each other in a while. But we’re still sexting, sending pics, having Skype and phone sex. So our sex life isn’t “killed” it’s just different. I would obviously prefer that we could see each other and have sex, but it’s not possible right now.

I feel this! We’ve been bonding in other way though. My husband is a big gamer, so I’ve taken the time to watch and play with him and he loves that. We end up sitting on our patio and just talking (because he’s not too exhausted from being at work all day), cooking fun meals, and taking the kids on nightly walks.
I’ve definitely had my days where I just need a break, but overall this SIP order has brought us closer together emotionally. I hear you on the sex part though, that would definitely be nice and it isn’t really happening as much 😐
