To buy or not to buy?

I keep reading about fetal dopplers and I was wondering, should I buy one or not? Is it worth it? FTM and can’t get an appointment till May 21st! 🥺

I know a lot of women really like theirs, but I personally won’t buy one & it was suggested by my OB to not get one either. She said sometimes she even has a hard time finding the heart beat just because of how the baby is positioned. Knowing that, it would give me a lot more anxiety having one.

Don’t. You can’t reliably hear baby until 16 weeks so you might spend too much time searching, and end up making yourself anxious for no reason. and then soon after that you can feel kicks so really there is no reason

i would wait till you’re around 12 weeks to try, and don’t get worried if you can’t find it immediately it takes time and baby is still really small and likes to hide. mine likes to move away from the doppler lol i’ll hear him for a few seconds then he’s moving away

They (the Doctors) couldn’t hear heart beat on the Doppler until I was 14 weeks. 
Getting one is just going to make you panic every time you can’t find the heart beat

I wouldn't,  those things can panic you pretty good. Also it's hard to find the heartbeat when you're early in pregnancy. Sometimes the doctors can't even find it. I know it sucks to have to wait on that first appointment but I wouldn't go buy one.
