Can you have implantation cramps at 12 Dpo ?

Backstory , so my last period was March 25 and I ovulated April 8 soo fast forward to this past Monday (April 20) it was 12 dpo for me and I was experiencing cramps in my lower abdomen that lasted until yesterday and my period was supposed to start on Wednesday (April 22) and I took a test the day I missed my period and it was negative. When should I retest? I’m scared because I’m praying for my rainbow 🌈 baby and I don’t want to get my hopes up. Also how soon can you take a test after implantation?
