At What Age Was Your First Job ?

I’m 17 and i’ve worked babysitting or other small jobs- but i’ve never really been officially employed with a boss because i’m very anti social and get really nervous talking to people. I want to work and be independent but everytime i think about having to look and talk to strangers, it just makes me not want a job. Any advice ?

Theres different types of job that dont require you to have to be in contact with customers, up to you what interests you, my first job was a hairdressing assistant when I was 15, I'm now working in retail/customer service orientated work and its mixed, you can get the most lovely sweet customers that can bring back gifts and then theres others who 🙃 think they are the gift and give you the worst hour of your life 
Have a look at different jobs online, work on your experiences so you can work your way up the ladder to be where you want to 😄

in terms of ANY job, i started babysitting and getting into graphic design when i was like 12 (i now work in ux/ui design). for my first real job, probably when i was 15/16. two of them happened around the same time. one was under a competitive program that placed you in a paid internship with a local nonprofit for the summer. the other was on my own, at a fortune 500 tech company i worked at until i left for uni.
