Period + Herpes

Has anyone had their period during a herpes outbreak. I’ve been on an outbreak for a while now and the pain has gone down tremendously but my period is coming within the next couple days. Should I be worried? Will it interfere with the outbreak? Will the blood be painful on the sores? Do I use a tampon or pads? I just gotta lot of questions. Help a sis out and give some advice or share ur experience ty! 💞
