Ongoing itchy vulva. What could it be? Details in description

My vulva is itchy nearly everyday. I've noticed that I sometimes smell yeasty down there, but I'm not confident that it's a yeast infection because my symptoms are mild and ongoing. I have no pain. I also haven't noticed any strange discharge, although it is white with a slightly yellow tint sometimes. Not chunky, rarely watery. I have never been diagnosed with an infection before, although I did have a yeast infection once and treated it at home. I know I should see a doctor, but it's not easy right now due to the pandemic. I don't know when the itching started, I remember having issues when I was a child and I though it was normal to be itchy everyday until I mentioned it to my sister recently. I use monistat cream occasionally on days when the itching gets irritating and that seems to help quite a bit! I try to wear a dress and no underwear while at home, because underwear usually make it worse. My underwear are 100% cotton. It does seem to get worse after sex (with condom) or using toys and sometimes after showering or bathing. I don't use soap down there, but I have very hard water. I trim my pubes, and don't shave. I'm going to try using silicone lube only and use bottled water to wash down there. I do have seasonal allergies and my body usually gets hives and rashes while showering, so that may be a big factor. Do I have an infection, or is it more likely that I have a skin condition or a sensitivity/allergy to something? I will try to see a doctor when the virus calms down. Thank you for any tips, advice or help!
