Ear infection in aggressive dog
My mom’s dog has a fungal infection in his ears caused by yeast. His ears very clearly bother him and he cries a lot because of them. They’re also very red and inflamed. However he will not let anyone put medicine on his ears. It’s a topical cream given by the vet. If you even show him the medicine bottle he will run to his kennel and not come out. This has been going on for about a year now because no one can put medicine on him. It comes to the point where his ears bleed because he scratches them so much.
But if someone tries to use the medicine on him he’ll growl and try to bite the person. He’s half bulldog half boxer and about 110 pounds, so a huge dog and can’t be easily held down or anything. Besides that he does get aggressive and no one wants to get bit. My mom is thinking about medicating him and making him fall asleep before doing it. :( what should we do? He’s in constant pain
