Strawberry Allergy?

My little guy had strawberries for the second time yesterday and later in the day I noticed he had a rash under his chin and on his upper lip. I put some Vaseline on it and it cleared up over night. The problem is he’s drooling like like crazy and I don’t know if it was a teething rash or from the strawberries. The rash wasn’t anywhere else. Should I just wait a few days and reintroduce or not risk it?

That’s a pretty common allergy.  Wait until he’s totally healed up before introducing it again.  Hopefully it’s just a coincidence!

My daughter had what the pediatrician called a sensitivity to strawberries from 6months to 2yrs old. She would get a little rash on her cheeks and would end up diarrhea. She’s now 4 and has no issues

My baby does always gets rashes after having a little strawberry but isn’t allergic. Apparently it’s very common

I'd mention it to the doctor to see what they say. I know skin reactions to strawberries are common without it necessarily being a full allergy. But ask the doc!

He’s also had blueberries and raspberries with no reaction.
