I was heartbroken

My husband and I went to see to see a play at a local theatre. We run into his long time female friend, “R.” So we decide to watch the play together. Towards the end my husbands starts to be a dick and we get into an argument. He ends up leaving with R and I don’t see him for the rest of the night. I decided to stay at my parent’s house because I didn’t want to see my husband.

When I woke up in the morning I checked my Ring Doorbell to see if he ever came home-he didn’t. He wasn’t responding to any of my calls or texts. My mom kept saying, “I bet he stayed with R!” But I didn’t want to believe it.

I started to drive home and suddenly saw him biking down the road. I pull over and he said he was looking for me. He apologizes for being a jerk and I ask if he kissed R. He responds with, “Nah but I fucked her.” At this point I’m in tears... This isn’t my husband... this goes against all of his beliefs. I try to give back my wedding ring but my husband tells me to keep it because he wants to try to work things out.I tell him that I can’t look at him without imaging him having sex with R. I felt heartbroken...I proceed to take off my rings and give them back to my husband.

Suddenly I wake up with a sigh of relief that it was just a dream!

I grab my husband and we spoon for the rest of the night.🥰
