Any one develop a heart issue while pregnant?

Liz

The last few days I have episodes of my heart beating very fast and I can feel it beating erratically while just sitting. BP is normal for me, but pulse at those times is between 95-110. I have been feeling lightheaded, dizzy, and fatigued with the barest exertion. Last night I was listening to it beat fast and realized the rhythm wasn't regular it was skipping beats then running fast to make up for lost beat. Those last for 5-15 minutes. It did it again this morning. Let my OB know and he scheduled me for a cardiology appointment tomorrow.

This is my 4th baby, I am considered obese, but have only gained 5 pounds this whole pregnancy at 32 weeks 4 days. Don't really have any swelling. And I drink water like a fish, so not dehydrated. Also have a remarkable husband who is taking care of almost everything so I can rest so I don't have much in the way of stress. Never had an issue like this before. Wondering if anyone else has experienced something like this.

Mildly concerned for me, baby seems to be doing just fine. Growing a little ahead of schedule, head down, fluid level is normal, and heartrate has been good for the whole pregnancy.

Update: Waiting to do an echo, but doc says everything looks normal aside from being old and pregnant. He then told me to hit him for calling me old. 🤣

But he said thousands of years ago women were giving birth at 12, 14 and so at 33 I was technically very old. I've been told to "TAKE IT EASY UNTIL DELIVERY." He says he will put me on a beta blocker if it gets much worse, but also told me it will likely get worse. So baby had better get with my program and come a little early, not sure I can put up with 7 more weeks of palpitations and SPD pain.
