Opinions on Texting???

Does anyone else have a man who really isn’t into texting for communication? My boyfriend usually sends me one word replies or the infamous “lol” as a reply. He’s said before that he’s not into texting and also doesn’t think it’s a big deal if we could go like 2 hours without talking (which honestly I’ve come to not really be bothered with).

From past experience 1 word answers from people were always people who were not interested or losing interest in me, and that’s how it feels sometimes with my boyfriend. The annoying part is trying to explain that to him because he doesn’t really understand why something like that bugs me (and it’s not all the time, just some days especially give this whole quarantine situation with the coronavirus).

Does anyone else ever get bothered by one word answers from your man and feel like he isn’t interested in what you have to say? Or am I just being a little nutty and overthinking? 🥴

P.S. we’ll be together a year next month if that helps anyone form an opinion
