I am being induced on Monday at 37w... what do i need to know?

What do I need to know? Prepare for? Advice? Anything at all is helpful as I am starting to get nervous without really knowing what to expect! Xo

Go in open minded. I wouldn’t fully expect to delivery vaginally, it could go either way. So be prepared for either. 
Even if your nervous, eat something before you go incase they don’t allow you to once you get there. Don’t be scared or feel like your being annoying to have to ask for anything you want or need to make your stay comfortable for you, your not being needy.  Being some snacks for afterwards because since this whole virus thing, I’m not sure how or what they will have available. Before leaving the hospital, make sure to clear out the baby bassinet drawers! Ask for more wipes and diapers like hours before you leave, just pretend like the baby is almost out of them! Don’t be afraid to take the thermometer and the stethoscope that’s in the baby draw too. They expect people to take it all with them, and they typically get thrown out anyways after your stay.  Get moving around your room as soon as they say you need to start moving around. Sleep every time the baby sleeps! Nurses will come in almost every few hours, you’ll have plenty of time to stay up and stare at the baby later, just get some rest before you have to take baby home and not have that extra assistance!

I am telling you if you get the epidural do it early! Like I am talking 3cm early because it’s easier to sit still when contractions are not as strong! Also prepare to not eat for while! I was induced at 36 weeks I was in labor for exactly 32hrs! Pack an extra long charger so it reaches your bed! Don’t be afraid to ask your nurses and doctors questions.

Be open, things may not go as planned or how you thought. I always thought a birth plan was silly, just so unpredictable.
First 5-6 hours I just took the medicine to see if you start labor and we walked around a lot.
When they broke my water-that’s when it was go time! Contractions went from 0 to 100. 
Get epidural!!! Love epidural with all my heart. I could actually rest. And if you can rest, rest!!!
We ended up having to do emergency csection-got to 8-9 cm and stopped, my son would start going into distress and my body temp was going up.
If you do have emergency csection- they move fast! And you and baby are their focus, I had to ask where my husband was and they were already starting. We also forgot his phone to take a picture of us after he was out because of the craziness when it was a go for csection.
