What does this mean

‪I was on the phone with my boyfriend today, he told me that he is 100% positive that he can hurt me emotionally enough to make me wanna kill myself and I don’t know how to feel about it. I already deal with depression and he knows this, attempted to take my life before and he was the one that took me to the hospital. I didn’t bring that up I just laughed it off and told him he couldn’t but I can’t seem to stop thinking on why he would say that
