Should I go to the ER? No insurance.

So I got a positive pregnancy test from Lovelace about 3 days ago. Now I’m having heavy bleeding and cramping. I think I am having an early miscarriage. I called a few urgent care and they said without insurance I should go into the ER. I don’t think I need to though. Should I go or just let this pass naturally? 😢

I wouldn’t go to an ER personally, if you’re under 10 weeks it’s something you can pass naturally and at home, I’ve had multiple miscarriages, one at 6 weeks, 7 weeks, 5 weeks, and some chemicals all passed at home, the only one that I needed to go to the hospital for was the one I had at 14 weeks.

Unfortunately you can’t stop a miscarriage even by going to the ER. All they will do is give you a vaginal ultrasound and see if the baby is doing okay they won’t be able to stop it. I would personally go because sometimes when the baby isn’t placed correctly it can cause cramps and bleeding so it’s your decision. I know hospitals are scary right now but I can assure you they are very careful and sanitary.

Call planned parenthood and tell them you don’t have insurance and what’s going on.

I would go just to make sure. It could be anything from baby is okay, to miscarriage to ectopic. They will give you an ultrasound and do bloodwork so that way at least you know 100% and know your health is not at risk.

I went to the ER for my early miscarriage and all I got out of it was an enormous bill. It’s not worth going, they can’t do anything.

When I had mine at 5-6 weeks I just stayed home and drank some wine to help me relax and help the pain

Can you apply for insurance? I’m not sure your financial situation, but you should be able to apply for Medicaid. If approved it should be backdated right may 1
