Moving 18 month old to own bed

How do I get my 18 month old to sleep in his own bed? He’s been cosleeping with us since he was a newborn. He likes to flail and kick so we want to move him to his own bed. The issue we have now is when we put him in his crib he shoves his fingers all the way down his throat until he throws up and keeps doing it until someone gets him. Like projectile vomit every where. We’ve tried just letting him do it and not giving in but it’s hard when there is vomit everywhere and he keeps vomiting. He doesn’t say any words yet except dada. So he’ll just repeat dada over and over and then scream his head off and then start choking himself with his fingers in the back of his throat. The crib is literally right next to our bed. What the hell do I do!? 😩
