Period or implantation?

So I’ve been having breast tenderness and today super bad menstrual cramps. Normal signs for my period. my period was supposed to come in the next two days but i just got it now. Since it’s early, could it be implantation bleeding? does implantation bleeding come with the usual menstrual cramping??
Personally, i think it’s just my period. But i just wanted some second opinions!

If the blood is red and you need a pad, it’s your period.

Implantation bleeding usually doesn’t happen, obviously it can, but it’s more like spotting to where there’s only a small amount and you wouldn’t even need a pad. If it’s heavy enough for a pad then it’s a period. Periods (for me at the moment bc of depo) can be red or brown (old blood) and usually you don’t get cramps with implantation bleeding. It also doesn’t last longer than 3 days, so if you believe it is what you think it is, wait 3 days and if you’re still bleeding and need a pad, it’s a period.
