Is Harrison too similar to Tennyson?

My oldest son is Tennyson, if we have another boy this time is Harrison too close, would it sound weird?

No. They don’t sound alike other than the “son” ending and same number of syllables. But the “harri” and “tenny” part sound nothing alike. Too similar to me would be Tennyson and Kennison since they actually rhyme.

I think that's completely up to you. I know a lot of people name all their kinds in a theme. If you like the -son theme then they're perfect. 
If you aren't a fan of matching names then maybe pick something less similar to the name of your first.
I wouldn't personally use something that close because even playmates with children with similar names get confusing. Someone shouts across the playground for their kid and 2 or 3 kids come running because they all think they heard their name. But my opinion isn't the "right" opinion it is just my personal opinion. Do what makes you happy!
