Cervix tenderness

Little history: my IUD came out on its own in January.

Since then my periods have been every 3 weeks and during my fertile window (also every 3 weeks) my cervix gets so tender I can barely sit down. Tonight I went to the bathroom and was trying to feel my cervix to see if there was anything abnormal. It was really high because I'm ovulating so I had to try to pull it down to reach it. When I did, the front edge of it felt really soft but the back edge was firm. After I was done checking everything, the tenderness got a lot less. Any idea what is going on?
