Iud moved

Has anyone ever had their iud move? The doc wasn’t able to find the strings and he sent me to get an ultrasound. I found out that the iud is not in place but the nurse didn’t know if it perforated my uterus or got embedded. I will probably have to have a hysteroscopy done to get this thing removed. My big question is has anyone ever had one before and if so did the doctor say it was urgent to get the surgery? I’m scared that it’s gonna get worse because I can’t schedule the surgery until Thursday. Thanks
