How long did your induction with first child take?

38+4, FTM (first and only pregnancy) and being induced at 530 AM tomorrow, just wondering how long other FTM inductions have taken y’all?

I’m 1 cm dilated (have been for weeks). Starting the cervical ripening around 7 tonight.

Have a feeling this will take for-ev-er

When I got there, I was already a 5. I was given Pitocin at 7am and labored a total of 14 1/2 hours (2 of which were pushing).

Honestly I think my doctor dropped the ball severely and he only cared about vaginal birth and no c section. He did some very bad calls and safe to say he will not be delivering any future babies I have

When you say it never ended does that mean you had to have a c section

I was 39+2 and was dilated 3 cm when I went in. I didn’t have to prepare my cervix. Pitocin only

How dilated were you when you went in? And did you have to go in early to prepare your cervix?

I was electively (no issues I was just done being pregnant!) induced at 41 weeks. Was 3cm dilated when they started pitocin at 2:30pm Friday. Gave birth next day Saturday at 7:46pm, so it took 29 hours start to finish. I must say the beginning until 6am Saturday when they broke my waters I was feeling great. Very little discomfort. That changed FAST once my water broke! And then later I pushed for 4.5 hours 🙃

My water broke and contractions stopped so they started me on pitocin, I was only 1 cm dialed. It took 15 hours to get to 10cm and another 3 hours of pushing.

Induction started Wednesday at 6pm. Went through six rounds with nothing, Dr wanted to put foley bulb in and that broke my water. Dilated steadily through the day, got my epidural when I was at a 7 and contracting heavily around 5 pm. She was born 1133pm Saturday after 22 minutes of pushing.
