C section-post surgery tips?

Hey ladies! I think my husband and I have decided to go the c section route. My last one was 9 years ago, and I don’t remember much about recovery, what I needed in the hospital, etc. I would love any “must haves” for the hospital, or tips on what to expect!

The main thing is that I couldn't lay flat for about 10 days, and couldn't get up from the bed or sofa while holding the baby, so you need a place to put baby down to get yourself up. My 2nd c section was supposed to be a vbac but unfortunately I got preeclampsia and induction failed. My 2nd c section was a little better in terms of the pain intensity, but took a little longer overall and the incision pain took a little longer, so granny panties and sleep dresses or loose fitting bottoms are more comfortable to wear.
