Since y’all asked for the updates I’m giving them as they come. I still don’t get why this egg is hatching. All of the other eggs are doing what they’re supposed to do but this guy is determined to come before day 21

You know how I showed you this picture last night and said that this was what scandal egg was trying to do?

This is the egg now. Text book internal pip.

That gone shaped thing is it’s little beak. It has pecked into the air cell and is breathing. It’s moving it’s head around.

Because of what we are seeing now, he may break the shell by tomorrow morning. I am also seeing the blood vessels in the egg shrink up which means it’s absorbing it’s blood which is a crucial thing that needs to happen before hatching. There has been a huge change in the blood vessels from this morning to this evening. Little booger is moving fast.

What he’s doing right now is tapping that beak against the shell, trying to break it. If you put your ear to the egg you can hear it. I don’t hear any chirps though. It may be because he tapped into his blood supply and is like wtf I’m kinda weak now. No time for talking.

As soon as it breaks the shell I will post a picture. I honestly wouldn’t be surprised if it does more than that by the next time I check in on it. Because it’s scandalous

I want to add this too. I could probably get a picture that’s more clear but I just wanted to check on it and put it right back but you can kind of see the blood spot where it tapped into a blood vessel. I pointed at and circled the little blood spot. But it seems to be doing well despite this.

I think I’m gonna name him boo boo. Because he’s correctly positioned for hatching but still made himself bleed inside the egg.

The one poking his head up here, that is scandal. He’s good.
