what do braxton hicks feel like?

hi! FTM, i think i’m having braxton hicks? i’ll be 21 weeks on Saturday. but my belly just will get really tight and firm but it’s completely painless. it’s lasts about 30 seconds or so and then goes away. at first i was thinking it was just the baby in a weird position but now i’m wondering if it’s actually braxton hicks? it’s happened twice in the last half hour or so

I remember being 30 some weeks at an OB appointment with my first and she asked if I had any Braxton Hicks and I said I didn’t think so. She went to measure my belly and then told me she would have to wait as I was having one then. So they aren’t always very noticeable

That 100% sounds like Braxton Hicks. Mine were incredibly painful lol 😆 even though I was told they’d be painless. I think it’s different for everyone. I started getting mine around then too!

Yep that is what it always feels like for me! I started getting it a few times this week I am 19 + 5

Yup that’s them, just wait till you have a very full bladder(that causes them sometimes) and the baby is already pressing into it and then you stand up and get a braxton and you almost pee on yourself. You’ll definitely know what they feel like in that moment

I’m 20w2d and I asked a coworker what round ligament pain feels like cuz I’ve had pressure all day since my ultrasound and she told me it was braxton Hicks ! I’m still not sure which one it is 🤦🏼‍♀️😂

My stomach always tightens when I have them. They are very annoying to me but not painful

I definitely feel them with this pregnancy. The best way I can describe it is a dull pain around my abdomen. They don’t last very long though, they kind of feel like period cramps.
