Too much of a good thing

My family has been very generous. We've gotten a ton of baby gifts. When I was filling out the registry, I just added anything that looked good. Well, I found some used play sets and got them for 5 bucks a piece. They are great. You put the toddler in the seat and the have all the buttons and noises they could dream of. Well, I didn't think about that I had put some on my registry. We got one in the mail this week. I immediately went and removed the others so we didn't get any more. I mean, these things are huge and now we have 3 of them. Unfortunately, I must not have removed it fast enough because we just got a notification that a different one was ordered, so now we have 4. I'm very tempted to return the 2 we got from the registry. I'm guessing it would be close to $300 that we could use towards items we really need. Is it terrible to return things? I'm not sure we even can because companies don't seem to mail receipts out anymore. Anyone else deal with this?
