Miscarriage at 12weeks gestation

Hello ladies, sadly I had my D and C 2 days ago and I'm still on the process of healing.. I have a question please.. After D and C is it normal to still pass uterine lining and large tissues? Cos my mom kept on telling me it's not cos she had D and C twice and its supposed to clean everything since my record says complete abortion.. But I asked my OB who also operated me said its all normal so I'm really puzzled right now.. This is what came out an hour ago its 5 inches long.. OB said its just part of uterine lining and just need to take my meds.. 😩 So what is right or wong
