How do you set a Gynecologist appointment?

Hey I’m 19 and haven’t seen a gynecologist yet in my life.. How do you even set up to see one? I have been considering on getting an IUD and need an appointment for that obviously... 
Do I just ask my normal check up doctor about that, ask the front desk at that clinic, or do I do something else??

You should be able to look up any type of doctor through your insurance website. And then you’ll know for sure that they take your insurance. Be aware that most doctors are only doing in person appointments if it’s an emergency/urgent

When I found my new gynecologist all I did was use google. 
I googled “gynecologists in my area” 
And looked at everyone’s reviews. 
I called the one I liked best. I told them I wanted to get a Pap smear and that I wanted birth control. They told me to bring my ID and my insurance card.
And then I went to my appointment. I did not get my IUD that day though. My gynecologist did my Pap smear and a pelvic exam and ruled out pregnancy and then he inserted the IUD the following weed.

I asked my friends! I just called to set up the appointment and they were so great and helpful! She made me feel super comfortable. I told her it was my first time going and I was super nervous :)
