Period or still postpartum bleeding?

I’m 6 weeks PP and I haven’t bleed in 2 weeks maybe. And it’s brown blood and it’s slowing turning dark red? If it’s a period can I use tampons?? My 6 week pp was virtual but I forgot to ask.
I have slight cramps but I can barely feel them and I did break out on my chin.

Answer

Pp bleeding can start and stop for 6-8 weeks. Unless it acts like a period and you get another in about a month, I would say its pp bleeding. I’m 7 weeks and still spotting randomly.  Ive bled off and on for 6-8 weeks with all three of my babies. As for the tampon, typically once you’ve been cleared to resume normal activities by your doctor, a tampon is fine
