How to break the news

How do you break the news to your boyfriend that your pregnant ? This is why I don’t really know how to break it..

We both want kids for sure. But we always said in the future. I personally didn’t want to have kids till I was married as I want my little “family” to all have the same last name. Since I’m not married this baby will have my last name/or hyphenated if that’s what my bf wants. We’ve been together for almost a year and he would agree with me on waiting till we were married because he wanted to get a good paying job and feel financially secure in it before having kids. He has had 3 different jobs in the last year so obviously he’s not at that stage yet. What do I do? How do I do it? What if he responds negatively? I’m keeping the baby 100% and if he doesnt want to be with me and the child then that’s his own problem and we can be separated. But I just don’t know how to go about this.
