How many ounces??

Ok so I’m struggling ... how many ounces are your three week old baby’s drinking ? I can’t find anything on a good guideline on how much they should be drinking . I had my son at 2 1/2 fl oz and he was doing great with that but then he started waking up every 2 - 2 1/2 hours to eat so I bumped him up and now he just keeps spitting up, I don’t want to over feed him but I also read by a month old he should be drinking 4 ounces ...  now with the 3 fl oz he last till about 3 1/2 hours but sometimes will like projectile vomit . Please help !!!

My girl is 5 weeks today and still only drinks 1.5-2.5 oz every 2-3 hours. At night she’ll go 3-4 hours. Every baby is different 🤷🏻‍♀️. I don’t try to feed her more at once because she starts to spit up.

The reason he is likely vomiting is because he is drinking the bottle too fast. This happens with most babies unless you slow the feeding down. Take breaks every ounce and let baby sit upright. And try slow flow bottles. I got the TommieTippie extra slow flow nipples. The feedings take longer which can be time consuming but your baby will have less gas and won’t spit up

I do breast milk & formula my baby is almost a month (28th) and she usually does 3oz or 4oz right before she is about to go to “bed” at night. She goes back and fourth from 3-4oz. She was projectile vomiting at first but then I started doing paced bottle feeding, so I hold her upright, move the nipple around her mouth until she moves her mouth to grab it herself, and feed her with an anti colic bottle, I take it out after every ounce or two ounces and burp her. Usually if she is done she will fall asleep or when I put her back upright and wave the bottle around she won’t want it. 
For bottle feeding they will also relax their mouths to where it’s easy to slid the bottle out when they are full! Try to pay attention more and learn her ques!

My baby is exclusively breastfed and was eating 2-2.5 oz at 3 weeks; eating every two hours. He’s four weeks now and is eating 3 oz every 2 hours. We weigh him before feeding and after feeding to determine how many ounces he ate.

My baby is a month + 5 days old and has been drinking 5 oz for a couple weeks now lol. He’s a hungry boy and is only satisfied with 5 oz.

At 3 weeks, my daughter was drinking 15-20 oz. This is just breast milk though, no formula. Idk if that makes a difference. She'd been born at 34 weeks and I pumped for her from the beginning when she was in the nicu. So I'm also not sure if her prematurity is a factor too.

I was able to up to 4 oz now. at that time my pediatrician told me to alternate between 3 oz and 4 oz and work your way into 4 oz everytime. that seemed that work out for me. You could try doing that. My baby is about 7 weeks now and consistently in 4 oz but I did alternate for about alittle over a week and shes been consistently on 4 for about 2 weeks

We worked our way to 4 ounces by then. Now my baby is  6 weeks almost and is at 4 ounces every 2-3 hours and sometimes needs to go up to 6 ounces. Sometimes less of course If he’s not hungry, he just will stop eating.

My 3.5 week old is doing 4oz. Try slowing his feeding down by using a preemie nipple.. it helped us at first!
