hookups turned relationships?

is this possible? I had met this guy from tinder back around Christmas and at first it was strictly a hook up thing- we had sex the first time we met, which is something I've never done but it was fine and I had 0 emotional attachment, which I wasn't expecting. but we still talk every day and I'm starting to realize that I kinda think I have a crush on him.. We haven't been able to see eachother in months because we go to the same college but he lives halfway across the country so he's home because of corona. even though we hooked up the first time he was honestly a sweetheart- opened my car doors for me, held open doors for me, bought me food, etc. I'm not like in love with him but I'm starting to think he may be someone I'd actually date. has anyone ever had a hookup like this turn into a relationship?
