How to make membrane sweep more effective?

If you have experience with getting a membrane sweep, do you have any tips on how to make it more effective? At my last appointment (37w) I was 1cm and 40% effaced. I’ve been having contractions all week that never go anywhere, and will be getting a membrane sweep tomorrow (38w). Any tips? My appointment is in the morning so I’ll have all day to try and get those contractions stronger lol

Update: she said I’m still barely a 1 so she did the best she could, but she couldn’t really get in there all the way 😔 I’ve walked 2 miles, had sex, and have been on my ball for like an hour and so far nothing. We’ll be trying another sweep next week and hopefully I’ll either go into labor before then, or I’ll at least be more dilated!
