So I got my first iud last year, as this was my first birth control experience I dealt with things that shouldn’t be happening with birth control. I bled for 2-3 consecutive months, then every time I had sex which was about once weekly I started my period. Eventually I had day 5 older brown blood and discharge everyday. I had an odor which was an infection. Recently I went for an std check where they noticed my iud was falling out of my cervix and it needed to be replaced. Last week it was replaced I’ve bled since and I’ve needed 800 mg ibuprofen every 7 hours due to lay on the floor cramps. Helppp?? I’m not sure what’s normal with an iud and I don’t want to deal with my body not being normal... EVER. I plan to give it a couple months to settle as well.
