Did you have a botched gender reveal?

My husband and I decided to do a combined baby shower gender reveal party, but when that got postponed two times then canceled due to covid we decided to at least have a gender reveal cake delivered to our house.

I even decorated the area where we were going to slice the cake open with our decorations I couldn’t use for the baby shower. The scene was set and I was excited to make the most of it.

Well they delivered the cake, with a slip on top that had the inside cake color written on it! I was so upset, after waiting so long to find out, for it to be ruined like this! I emphasized with the bakery that I did not want to know the sex, and this still happened. I cant help but immediately think of how my gender reveal got ruined now every time I tell someone the sex of the baby.
