Are you going to/do you allow your child to attend sleepovers?

Not sure if this is controversial enough but I’m curious. Growing up my mom let me have sleepovers and spend the night at my friends houses, but after my sister was born she started watching the news and she saw a few stories about young girls being bullied and harassed at sleepovers and even killed by their own friends so she didn’t allow my sister to go to any. I also had friends who were not allowed to go to sleepovers but were allowed to host them. Would you or do you let your child go to sleepovers?

Why or why not? And do you consider it different if they’re going to spend the night at a family member’s house instead of a friend’s house?
