You can put some of that privacy cling on the window, string some white lights around it, add a cute curtain to it. Paint the room a brighter color like blue or yellow. Add some fuzzy area rugs and some bean bag chairs. I say just have fun with it.

Put laminate on the floor. Add some curtain to the windows. Long one from ceiling to bottom. 
For cheap I would go with either painting the wall or adding paper (paper will hide the brick raw material) I mean it depends the budget and the style you are looking for.

The brick makes it look like a basement! I’d knock down the wall to combine rooms or cover the window and dry wall.

If budget is an issue I’d get a big piece of art and put it over the window on both sides! Maybe wallpaper the brick or paint. Cute rug, nice light fixture
