Nurses? Do you actually like the baskets of goodies?!

I’ve seen so many people make baskets full of goodies for their nurses. I think it’s very nice, but I’m just wondering if any of the nurses on here can weigh in!

I gave my nurses chocolate roses 🌹 with one of my pregnancies and I'll honestly never do it again. I spent 60$ on them and everyone that was there in my room during labor and delivery and postpartum we wanted to give them one for our gratitude and all but 2 nurses snubbed there 👃 up and refused it. They were in clear plastic boxes (it was the month of valentine's) literally cried because I  just wanted to be nice and show my appreciation 😢 and they declined them. So I'll never try it again.

Nursing assistant here. We almost never get goodie baskets! We really do appreciate them!

🙋‍♀️🙋‍♀️ anything that has snacks and/or pens is always a WIN with us!!! We are appreciative especially if it's been a hectic day sometimes that is all we may get to eat that day.

Pens. Get some nice pens for them and they’ll be your best friend. 😂 But, yes, when I worked for a hospital, we had several people bring us donuts, cookies, ordered pizza for us around lunch time, etc.  we had one elderly lady who was a patient for a few weeks. Her husband brought a big bowl of candy, and every time you came to their room, they made sure you left with some chocolate. They were so sweet, and even a career change and five years later, I still remember the kindness from those people. ❤️

What an amazing idea!!! How many “baskets” should I make? FTM. I don’t know how many nurses usually come in and out, etc.

When I went to labor and delivery, I took a basket full of different types of snacks. My nurses LOVED it! 
This is my first child so I went in not knowing how things would be (and I’m such a baby when it comes to needles and pain), so I figured if I got on their good side, they would be extra nice to me lol.

We gave our nurses bags full of candy, and they were sooooo nice to us our entire stay lol. I’m sure they would have been nice anyway, but they said they loved it. I want to be able to do it again, but maybe we’ll order them pizza or something if the pandemic doesn’t slow down.
