8 weeks measuring 5 barely! Is this a blighted ovum?

So I’m 8 weeks by lmp but went for scan yesterday and was told I’m barely measuring 5. No baby just gestational sac and yolk sac. The thing is my hcg is more than 8200 which has me on track with 8 weeks. Did my baby just stop growing or is there still a chance it was just too early. I’m freaking out has anyone else experienced this?!

With me the tech said i was measuring 6 weeks + when i thought i was 8 weeks and 4 days. However i believe her calculations are wrong because she said i conceived on 4/15. But the kneeslapper is that i already had positive pregnancy test starting on 4/11. So idk. I believe my baby is just small like my first.

I always go by the measurement given in first ultrasound / daring scan

I know this is old but this exact thing happened to me today! According to my last cycle I’m exactly 8 weeks today. Went in & the only thing seen on the ultrasound was a gestational sac measuring around 5 weeks 4 days but my hcg is 8,441.

This is what I hate that they go by LMP. I have a longer cycle and don’t ovulate until I hit the 20s for the days. Both pregnancies I was supposed to be 7 and a half weeks according to them and was only 5 actually. Baby measured normal every time after that (based off that scan).
