Found somthing odd on my dog.

I found a little black claw tangled in my dogs chest fur ( she is a long haired small dog )

It wasn't a very big claw, it was a completely black claw, and broke in half very easily when I tried to break it to see what it was.

It seemed like a sharp claw, I brushed it against my fingertip but it didnt break the skin from what I can see.

Does anyone have any clue what this black claw could be?

It was to small to be a cat claw, and we have no kittens that I know of in my backyard. We do have alot of birds in the backyard though such as robins, sparrows, common birds.

Im kind of parinoid of it being a bat claw? But it seemed to big to be a bat claw? Or atleast it seemed to be to big to be a little brown bat claw ( I live in wv and they are the most common bat here. ) besides, its morning time ( 9:16 A.M )

So, can anyone help me figure out what the claw could have been from?

Sadly I already threw it away and its to small to try and find lol.

Im mostly worried about rabies where I did brush the claw tip across my skin.
