Who is in the wrong?
I just went shopping with my mum and was obeying the social distancing rules and marks in the floor. But without realising I accidentally stepped into someone else’s box. I didn’t realise that only one person was allowed in the box, and thought the lines showed two metres. She explained it in a very rude way. Whatever 🤷♀️
Anyway my mum and I are walking around the shop and was discussing that she didn’t have to be so rude, when my mum said words to the effect of “I hate those stuck up black people”. I said that I don’t see what her skin colour had to do with her being rude and my mum got really annoyed at me because she thought I was calling her racist.
She went on to say that anyone can be stuck up despite their ethnicity and she wasn’t being racist. She was just describing her. I’m of the opinion that calling her “stuck up” was enough without needing to drag her skin colour into it.
Anyway she’s now annoyed with me and says that she hates talking to me nowadays as I’m so opinionated and judgemental. 🙄
